For the last few years, I have fancied a LBJ (Little Black Jumpsuit) over the popular and classic LBD (Little Black Dress). I now have 4 of them in my wardrobe (different style lines) and yes I wear them all. The popularity of the LBJ has surged, they are now available in multiple style lines, fabrics, sizes, and price points. Pretty much every retailer is carrying some version of the jumpsuit. An LBJ can actually replace the classic LBD since they can look as dressy as the LBD.  The LBJ offers versatility, they can be dressed up or down, depending on the fabric many can be worn year round with just a few tweaks such as adding a leather jacket or the latest trend wearing the LBJ over a top or blouse. My favorite reason for wearing a LBJ is I love love love how comfortable they are especially when wearing this LBJ by Helmut Lang.

What I enjoy about this particular strapless harem style in a jersey fabric is that it does not cling, the fabric drapes well and it does not show signs of wear such as creases or perspiration….bonus when it is so hot outside! I have had this jumpsuit for over 2 years and worn it on countless occasions. I have worn it belted under my favorite leather topper, with a jean jacket and flatform runners, with a faux fur shrug and now with this lace vest and a statement necklace. For the fall you may just see me wearing it with a top underneath and some boots. I would say that having a LBJ in your wardrobe is a good investment since it is clearly becoming a fashion staple.
