Florals are a huge trend for SS17. If you follow my blog you will notice that I tend to gravitate towards a more monochromatic look and I also migrate towards textures over prints. However, I fell in love with this Johnny Was embroidered floral coat several years ago, purchased it and continue to wear it. The longer jacket style line works well for so many women because it will elongate your silhouette and make you look slimmer a win-win for sure! Here are a few suggestions on how to incorporate florals into your wardrobe. Pay attention to the scale of the floral, you do not want the floral pattern to overwhelm you. Consider matching the floral pattern to your physique therefore if you are petite look for smaller patterns if you are average and average size floral motif will work , if you are tall and larger or plus size a larger pattern will generally work better on you, another consideration is ensuring the colour of the florals are in a colour palette that is harmonious with your skin tone.  The key is you want to wear the floral pattern, not have the pattern “wear you”. If you find all over floral pattern, not your thing but want to wear this trend try breaking it up. Introduce a solid and wear either your floral pattern on top or the bottom. This is also a great style solution if you are trying to balance your silhouette or camouflage an area. For example,  my hip area is larger than my upper torso (pear shape) therefore I will add the pattern to my top half and compliment it with a solid on my lower half to achieve more balanced proportions.
