When life gives you rainy days….wear cute boots and jump in the puddles!
Fingers crossed that the Ottawa snow continues to melt…bring on that spring rain! Umbrellas, raincoats, and rainboots will most likely become a big part of our #OOTD for the next several weeks. May as well embrace it. I am not sure who said this quote but it certainly resonates with me “Rain, rain, you can stay I’m just going to stay home and shop all day” Okay probably not doable but I do like the way “she” is thinking.
Being prepared for these rainy days will help. Thankfully, I have not as of yet seen the resurgence of the rain bonnet, but if you are looking for one or wanting to start the trend HERE is where you can find one. For me, I favor the umbrella, raincoat, rain boot style all the while understanding that it will probably not be a great hair day….still not going to wear a bonnet.
I have quite a selection of umbrellas and a raincoat that I love which I previously blogged about HERE but rainboots have been challenging. I do have a pair of tall rubber boots that are practical and perfect for well rainy days but I was looking for something different…I wanted a pair of boots that were more like boots and less like rain boots but of course, they needed to be waterproof. Google is fabulous for searching that “item” and after visiting many familiar online stores, reading some other blog posts, I found THIS pair of boots at THIS UK store* that fit the bill.

I am enjoying the slip on style, comfort, the block heel which provides height and stability, and the great price!

*The internet is fast becoming the destination of choice for shoppers and with many stores offering free shipping (some free returns) and free duties …online shopping now provides you with many options. My order with River Island included free shipping and duties. I was satisfied with the delivery time frame and packaging. When considering making purchases from International sites, ensure you know which currency you are being charged in (usually they have a conversion option) and verify sizing. River Island was in USD and European sizing (conversion chart also on site) I did make an additional garment purchase that I decided to return and therefore had to pay for return shipping.
Have you got a favorite online shopping site? please share in the comment section below.
