Feeling excited about my trip to NYC! To simplify packing I like to travel with a capsule wardrobe which I pack in advance to ensure I have everything I need…that being said if I did forget a thing or two, wink ,wink nudge, nudge, I think NYC has one or two stores that I would like.

Today’s #OOTD is a great starting point from which I can build my traveling capsule.
Did you know that “A capsule wardrobe is a term coined by Susie Faux, the owner of a London boutique called “Wardrobe” in the 1970s. According to Faux, a capsule wardrobe is a collection of a few essential items of clothing that don’t go out of fashion, such as skirts, trousers, and coats, which can then be augmented with seasonal pieces. Staying true to the capsule wardrobe definition most of the garments worn in my #OOTD are classic pieces, such as the cashmere sweaters (black cardigan and light grey sweater underneath), wool coat which is actually a 3 in 1 style, a classic Jane Post (American coat designer) eternity scarf (which can also be worn as snood- comes in handy when travelling in cooler temps) in grey hues purchased from a local accessories store Stunning ! , this look was augmented with black leather leggings, Chelsea boot and sunglasses. Each garment worn has versatility and by adding a few other pieces & some accessories, I will have a capsule wardrobe ready to take on NYC !
